Thanks to your support, Team Northern California is able to field a group of transplant athletes at the US Transplant Games. In 2004, Team Northern California won the prestigious Presidents Cup awarded to the team that captures the most medals per team member. Without you help, many of our members would not be able to attend these games.

Beyond the athletics, the Transplant Games provide a time for recipients from around the country to meet, share their experiences and provide hope and support to one another. It is a time to stop and to honor those who have provided our Gift of Life, the donors. Without them, we would not be here to celebrate.

I believe we also offer hope to those who are waiting for their transplant. I believe that we not only prove that transplantation works but that it works very well.

I also hope we provide a sense of pride to those who have gotten us here. Not only to the doctors and nurses but the staff and volunteers of the National Kidney Foundation, and the pharmaceutical company employees who have worked so diligently over a number of years to provide us with the medications we need.
