NKF Peer Program
Are you a person with kidney disease or a support person for someone with kidney disease? If so, would you like to be trained to be a peer educator?

Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP)
KEEP is a free kidney health screening program designed to raise awareness about kidney disease among high risk individuals and provide free testing and educational information so that kidney disease and its complications can be prevented or delayed.

Kidney Wellness Screenings (KWS)
KWS take place at larger health fairs and may provide a blood pressure and/or blood glucose, and BMI measurements. The participant also has the opportunity to fill out a KEEP prescreening questionnaire that determines if they are eligible to participate. Technical volunteers provide blood pressure, height and weight screenings. General volunteers help with education materials and with the KEEP prescreening questionnaires.
Health Fairs
NKF participates in a variety of health fairs throughout our region. Volunteers represent NKF with educational materials and information about NKF's programs and events.
Healthy Kidneys for Life
NKF is launching a new and improved version of this 45 minute 5th grade classroom curriculum. This program is presented in public schools throughout the region. The presentations are done by volunteers with training and support from NKF staff. For more information about this program

Professional Programs Volunteer
NKF presents several educational programs for professionals throughout the year including CME dinner, journal clubs and the annual Medical Symposium. Volunteers assist with set up, registration and logistics at the programs.
