In order to recognize those who provide gifts to the NKF through planned and estate gifts, the Foundation created the Fred Nicholas Legacy Society in 2005. Mr. Nicholas, who passed on June 30, 2009, was a long-time NKF supporter and legacy contributor, and former member of its Board of Directors.

Through the Society, the Foundation will be able to acknowledge the generosity of its legacy donors, help ensure that their estate planning needs are met and better plan for the financial future of the organization. Society membership will also have benefits of its own, including special events, activities and resources.
